What is a meal plan?

  • A meal plan is designed to help people choose the right kinds and amount of food to eat, telling you exactly what and how much to eat each day.
  • Meal plans are based on the individual (age, gender, health concerns and food preferences)
  • It is designed to provide the proper amount of calories, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and other important nutrients for that individual's specific dietary needs.
  • It includes portion sizes and any recipes required to prepare meals outlined on the meal plan.
