The creamier the flesh of the avocado, the higher in fat it is!
Avocado is definitely something that we should be including in our diet more often. However, even though they contain mainly good fats, they're still relatively high in total fat and calories. If you sit down every day to eat a whole avocado, you will get the benefit of the heart-healthy fatty acids but you'll also pack on the pounds. Limit it to 1/2 an avocado per day.

Marinating meat before grilling not only adds flavour but also reduces the chance that cancer-causing substances will form on the meat during grilling.
Healthy marinating tips:
- Marinades should contain a source of acid, such as citrus juice, vinegar, wine or beer!
- Allow about half a cup of marinade for every pound of meat
- Limit the amount of fat in your marinade to avoid the smoke produces from dripping fat.
